We are unable to deal with enquiries regarding family history apart from a quick check for a name in our Census reports and burial index. This is because we are all volunteers running the museum in our spare time and, unfortunatey, we just don't have time to research family history on behalf of others.
We are more than happy to guide personal visitors at the museum to the information that may help with their research

Old Photos - If you have any old photos of Burwell that you would like to send us please e-mail them to us by clicking .
(if you need to manually type the e-mail address change the part of our e-mail address before the "@" symbol to photos)
If we don't already have a copy of the photo you send us we may use it in our archive and/or website.
Please ensure the resolution is high enough to give good prints.
The "photos" mailbox is very large and completely seperate from the main email account.

If clicking on the email links doesn't work for you, open your e-mail programme and type in the e-mail address :

(you can substitute the word museum in front of the "@" for mill or paul or friends etc)

If you don't want to (or are unable to) use e-mail, please use the Enquiry Form instead.

Your details will not be passed on to anyone else unless you ask us to or we are required to by law (although your message may be forwarded to a Trustees' personal e-mail for them to contact you directly).
We will only store your details if we need to make further contact with you.

Currently all e-mails (apart from "photos") go to the main e-mail address - the different addresses make sorting messages for the relevant person easier as they automatically get "filed" in different "folders" by the e-mail programme. Automatic forwarding of e-mails may be put into place in the future.

To automatically add our details to your e-mail address book click here, then click "Open" if a File Download box appears and then click "Add to Address Book" in the Properties box that will appear next..(This may not work on all types of e-mail programmes).
(This facility is on a trial basis and maybe discontinued after a few months. If we stop using it we will delete this paragraph about it)
